Spring Grove Music in the Park

Spring Grove MN

At Doc’s Blue Moose in Spring Grove

Many of the small towns in Southeast Minnesota host music festivals over the summer. Spring Grove, just north of the Iowa border has one of the best series. The other night Jenny asked RavensFire to come down for a Wednesday evening. We discovered a beautiful town, proud of their Norwegian heritage. The staff at Doc’s Blue Moose restaurant welcomed us to a tasty meal and cool refreshing beverages. We found the band shell just down the street in a little triangle called Viking Memorial Park. Volunteers were cooking up burgers for the crowd, who carried in lawn chairs by the dozens.

Boy in the treeEveryone enjoyed the music, especially the little children who danced around in front of the gazebo. One of the boys wasn’t dancing, but he got a good view of the band from high up in a tree near the picnic shelter.

The band’s new friends snapped up copies of the RavensFire CD, just days before our CD release celebration. Thank you for showing your support of the band and to all our new and old friends for stopping by Spring Grove on a warm summer evening.
