RavensFire at the Wausau Irish Festival south (main) stage
The RavensFire Band took the beautiful drive through Wisconsin to Wausau for the annual Festival of Arts. Festival vendors take over the plaza in the middle of town and a couple blocks of downtown streets. Dozens of vendors offer incredible works of art; musicians and entertainers wander through the crowd keeping everyone engaged.
We had a lot of fun and remembered the weather from our trip to Ireland this spring. The sun was shining when we arrived and a brief shower welcomed us just before we went on stage. The sun came out again and people gathered in front of the stage to listen to the fun music. Another quick deluge scattered the crowd shortly before we finished. Everyone alternated between jackets, shirtsleeves, and umbrellas for the entire afternoon. The same as Ireland.
After the Festival we drove about five miles to the Central Wisconsin Irish Festival in Weston. They served wonderful Irish stew and fish and chips. The Irish bands and dancers were great, too. This will be a good place to return to next year.
