RavensFire at Comforts of the Past coffee house in Spring Valley
This has been the season for Christmas celebrations. RavensFire performed at several events last week. We kicked off the weekend with a traditional Norwegian dinner at Comforts of the Past coffee-house in Spring Valley. Joanie and the crew put together a fantastic dinner, complete with meatballs, lutefisk, rutabagas, potatoes, and (best of all!) lefse. After a big meal, RavensFire fans kicked back to enjoy a couple of hours of traditional, original, and fun Christmas music. Our friends sang along to most of the songs. Did I mention that everyone had fun?

RavensFire at the Absolute Theatre patron party
Saturday night found RavensFire at the Absolute Theatre patron party in downtown Rochester. Friends of the theater gathered to celebrate their first two successful shows and preview an upcoming show. Everyone there enjoyed the evening, which turned out to be the second night of winter weather. The first night featured snow, this night we all endured the bitter cold.
Our last Christmas celebration was our second time ringing bells for the Rochester Salvation Army. Once again, dozens (hundreds?) of people stopped by to put a little something in the Red Kettle and listen to fun Christmas music from RavensFire. Our friends who stopped by to say hello deserve a special Thank You for visiting with us during the holiday season.
RavensFire will take a few days off now before celebrating the New Year at Four Daughters Vineyard on Friday, December 30. We are looking forward to an early celebration with many of our friends, and we expect to make a few new friends, too! We’d enjoy seeing you there! Check the calendar for details. New Year’s Eve will find RavensFire at a private house party with family and friends.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
The RavensFire band plays traditional Irish music, folk songs, instrumentals and original music in the style of familiar Irish tunes.
