Last weekend the RavensFire band returned to Jac’s Bar and Grill in Chatfield. Jac’s has excellent food and is a fun place for locals to meet for a fun evening of music. This week everyone got to hear RavensFire’s version of traditional music. Our friends from Iowa deserve a special thank you for driving up to see the show.

Someone in the audience noticed that Melissa was playing her favorite mandolin again. After being played for many years, the instrument needed a little tuneup and Larry took it into his shop in Spring Valley. Larry is a trained luthier and built Melissa’s mandolin and his own guitar. We enjoy listening to the sweet, warm sound of that hand-made mandolin.
