RavensFire in the Zwingli UCC church basement.
The RavensFire band has been busy the last couple of weeks. On a beautiful Wednesday evening we headed out to Berne for some of their wonderful wood-fired pizza . The ovens were hot and the crew was friendly, but the thunder rolled across the prairie. When the weather service issued a tornado warning, we all headed for the church basement for the hour. The pizza was great, and a few friends did brave the weather, but some headed for home instead. Maybe next year?
Last weekend RavensFire returned to Studio 5 next door to the Post Town winery for an afternoon of fun, food, friends and music. The fine acoustics of the room combined with friendship and good wine made for a relaxing afternoon. Bonita had the doors open to the fresh air and the brief gentle rain. Grandpa Guy got to dance with his two-year-old grandson. Did you know that a young child has more energy than grandpa?
Private parties are a band favorite and we got to play for an ice cream social not long ago. By the end of the hour everyone was singing along to favorite Irish tunes.
