Thousands of people come out for summer festivals in this area. Last weekend the RavensFire band got the chance to play in Lanesboro twice during Buffalo Bill Days: Friday evening at Riverside on the Root and Sunday afternoon after the big parade. Lanesboro hosts a couple of festivals every summer, and this is our favorite.
The town was hopping Friday night with a softball tournament, a street dance, and RavensFire playing at Riverside on the Root. The weather was a little iffy before we started playing, but the skies cleared and the temperature stayed comfortable for everyone. The crowd was in a party mood, requesting several songs and dancing with the grandchildren when the mood struck!
The skies cleared again for the Grand Parade on Sunday afternoon, the sun came out and an even larger crowd basked in the sun, hit up the food vendors, and tapped their toes to RavensFire. Lots of our friends filled up the tables and hung around to talk at the end of the day.
Friendly people really add spark to a day at the festival. Thanks to all who came out. We love you!
The RavensFire Band is well known all around the area for their energetic performances, beautiful vocal harmonies, and skilled instrumentals while playing and singing their unique collection of lively traditional Irish, Folk, World, Americana and original music.
