The summer festival season is here and RavensFire is excited to be part of it. Pick almost any week this summer and you’ll find RavensFire entertaining an audience somewhere. This week the highlight is Rochesterfest in Soldiers Field Park.
If you can’t make it this week, there are more chances to see your favorite traditional band. Would you like to sit outside, under the trees in a park-like setting while you enjoy a fine dinner? Join us at Riverside on the Root in Lanesboro; we’re there in August. If your tastes run to local wine in an elegant indoor setting, maybe the Four Daughters Winery near Spring Valley fits with you? If so, stop down in July.
Maybe you prefer a more relaxed setting over your lunch hour? Come over to Calvary Episcopal Church in Rochester for their Lunch on the Lawn series.
Hundreds or thousands of people enjoy the action at the county fair, and many of them will enjoy some traditional songs at the Dodge County Fair in Kasson or Winona County Fair in St. Charles this July.
A highlight of the summer for most towns is a local festival. RavensFire is proud to be part of several, including Rochesterfest, Buffalo Bill Days in Lanesboro, and Western Days in Chatfield. Each festival reflects the personality of the town, adding to the fun of being there for the food, parades, and vendors.
If you’ve been to a RavensFire event before, you probably have a couple favorite tunes, like Roll and Go, Whisky in a Jar, or Summertime. We’ve been busy working on new tunes that will become your new favorites in 2019. You might enjoy “Leaving Liverpool,” “The German Clock Winder,” or “Good Night, Irene.”
The RavensFire Band is well known all around the area for their energetic performances, beautiful vocal harmonies, and skilled instrumentals while playing and singing their unique collection of lively traditional Irish, Folk, World, Americana and original music.
